All comments are only visible by internal users who are either assigned explicitly to one of the workflow tasks, or are a member of a skill assigned to a workflow task. In order for comments to be available to users outside of the workflow, the comments must be approved. This step is referred to as the consolidation step and that terminology is used throughout the remainder of this section. Keep in mind though, that the ALIM System Administrator is free to use different terms when the comments tracking workflow is configured.

It is also the responsibility of the Consolidator to set a final decision on each document in the workflow. This final decision is also made available to the document submitters along with the approved comments.

After all of the required reviewers have finished adding comments, the workflow will typically proceed to a Consolidation Task where the comments are reviewed and approved for release back to the parties that submitted the documents for review.

This section describes a typical consolidation process.
